About the Book
The book entitled The Pandemic Covid-19: Life, Society and Culture has focused on the pandemic COVID-19 which has strayed human lives and the ways of living has been marked by the shadows of ominous poverty, restlessness, scarcity, ill mental health, violence etc. Even after entering upon the process of unlock throughout the country people are being routed to lead a regulated lifestyle. The proposed contents of our book have highlighted the peevish impacts of this pandemic upon the folks and their lives, culture, occupations, economy, morality, society, religions, rituals, creativity etc. This book is going to be a factum of people’s grappling against Covid-19 as well as lockdown. The contents highlight how various classes of our society have restored to various ways of tackling life during this pandemic.
About the Editors
Sudeb Sarkar is a faculty member of English Department, Samsi College, Malda. He is doing Ph.D. on Folk Theatre and Performance Studies in the Department of English, Jadavpur University. He has published an Edited Volume entitled Samaj O Loksanskriti by Books Heaven Publication, Kolkata in 2018. He has published 11 Research Articles in various platforms. He has a great initiative in setting up Indo-Bangla Researchers’ Forum for Cultural Exchange (IBRFCE) where he is the chief representative of India.
Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Folklore at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. His areas of research interest include Applied Folklore, Cultural Heritage, Social Development, Indigenous Knowledge, Ecological Conservation, Aboriginal Studies, Gender and Film Studies. In 2016, Bangladesh has presented by him in an international programme at National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Hyderabad, Telengana, India.
